T-50 PAK FA - Russia's fifth generation fighter aircraft - and is often compared to USA's F-35 and F-22 warplanes

This is the T-50 PAK FA - Russia's fifth generation fighter aircraft - and is often compared to USA's F-35 and F-22 warplanes. According to Russian media, the T-50 or the PAK-FA as it is sometimes called, thrilled everyone with its breathtaking manoeuvres at the MAKS 2017 Air show. The T-50 had its maiden flight in 2010 and is all set to be inducted into the Russian Air Force in 2019. We take a look at some interesting facts about Russia's latest lethal stealth aircraft: (Sukhoi file images of T-50 prototype)

Manufactured by Sukhoi, the T-50 is a single-seat, twin-engine fighter jet that has been designed for attack roles. The T-50 has been made to replace Russia's Sukhoi Su-27 aircraft and enhance the country's frontline tactical and strike capability.

Made for long-range strike capability, reports suggest that the T-50 can carry sophisticated cruise missiles, increasing its strike capability.

Russian Air Force Commander Viktor Bondarev has been quoted as saying, "For now, I’d say that no physical limits exist for pilots of the PAK-FA when mastering and exploiting the aircraft."

PAK-FA stands for Perspective Air Complex of Frontline Aviation. The new warplane comes equipped with advanced radar-evading stealth technology and also boasts of electronic pilot function.

T-50 is said to have increased engine power, better flight range and bomb capacity. Made for long-range strike capability, the PAK FA combines the functions of a strike aircraft and a fighter, suggest reports.

Meanwhile, Russia is in talks to build a fifth-generation fighter aircraft for India. Initially, reports suggested that the 5th generation fighter aircraft for India will be built on the lines of the T-50, but Russia has said that the two projects will be independent and unrelated.
